" In my probationary year as a PE and drama teacher in London I was often struck by the quality of learning, co-operation and fun the kids had during the break times. I pondered how I could harness that energy and joy in more formal learning environments. Thus began an odyssey for the last 20 years of experimenting, collecting and researching games. "

The Games are arranged in 5 chapters to help you find the Games you need.

The games are orderd according to what the authors consider to be the level of risk. Low-risk being at the start of each chapter and the high-risk at the end.

In each game verbal instructions are printed in bold print for you to read out.

Also for each game the authors have included:-

• suggested length of each activity
• materials required
• energy level
• risk level
